Lauchlan is seeking marketing content writers to augment the efforts of its in-house content team. While the subject matter is frequently technical, we are seeking marketing—not technical—writers who can distill complex topics down to content that is benefit-focused, concise, human in tone and buzzword-free.

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of IT topics including storage, virtualization, cloud, converged/hyperconverged infrastructure, networking, collaboration and data backup/recovery
  • Ability to write for multiple formats including landing pages, emails, direct mail, case studies, ebooks, white papers, video scripts, PowerPoints, web display ads and more
  • Experience in and understanding of the IT channel—value-added resellers (VARs)/solution providers, cloud and managed service providers and their OEM partners (highly desirable, but not absolutely necessary)
  • Fluency in content marketing strategy and tactics
  • Ability to conduct efficient and professional subject matter expert interviews over the phone
  • Capacity and flexibility to take on 0–20 hours of work per week as needs fluctuate
  • Availability for occasional phone meetings

As a Lauchlan Account Manager, you will build and manage a dedicated account team and handle all client initiatives end to end. Your primary area of focus will be managing your core group of clients and your dedicated Account Coordinator, and serving as liaison for the broader team across all aspects of the business—strategy, social media, creative, editorial content development, web design and brand building. You will make use of the full traditional and digital media marketing mix to drive for results, innovate every day and lead a dynamic, driven team to do the same.

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in a commercial media and/or marketing agency environment a must.
  • Proven superior account management and client service experience.
  • Deep experience with digital media, marketing, advertising and technology and an active interest in how digital innovation is driving change. In particular, you'll need experience with large-scale, multi-touch campaign planning and execution processes and experience with ROI measurement.
  • Strong creative marketing skills; ability to analyze technology-focused content, draw conclusions and develop insightful outreach campaigns required.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, team-building and relationship management skills.
  • Effective communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively manage smooth flow of work through the agency.
  • Ability to motivate and develop staff as well as delegate effectively.
  • Client service experience in the VAR technology sector a plus.

Lauchlan is seeking independent, self-motivated outbound callers with basic computer skills and familiarity in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) to join our thriving team.

Duties will be to perform outbound calling with the goal of registering top-level technology-focused executives (CIOs, Directors of IT, etc.) to attend our client-sponsored educational workshops as part of our tour across several cities in the US and Canada. Because cities are in different time zones, flexibility with schedule is a plus, as some days start and close times may vary.

Previous phone sales or customer service experience is preferred; computer literacy and confidence on the phone a must. You need to have reliable transportation, display dependability and desire to be a strong contributor to the team.
