Project Overview
SpinUp approached us with a plan to enter the “simple cloud” marketplace. Through our market research, we established buyer personas and devised the brand name. We developed a brand voice and design system with a playful and irreverent tone, aimed at a youthful, “solopreneur” audience base. Our 360˚ launch strategy successfully took on the competition, shook up the market and saw quick returns.
Objectives
Quickly generate brand awareness and demand a share of the $5.9B simple cloud marketplace. This meant turning leads into subscribers and nurturing subscribers with product upgrades.

Brand and campaign creative platform, website, landing pages, display ads, Google AdWords, social pages and organic posts, email promotion and nurture and pre-roll video ads.
Our visual design system, the “nodes,” was inspired by mid-century abstract sculpture. Combinations of lines and circles captured the spirit and freedom of “spinning up” while also supplying us with great storytelling devices with endless possibilities.

Lauchlan created a website that funneled attention to a $50 startup credit and included interactive features such as the Cloud Playlist, which helped users determine their ideal product bundles. Our cheeky, developer-centric advertising concepts were highlighted by two pre-roll ad spots on Twitch, where we successfully targeted our developer audience base.

We developed three advertising constructs, each with its own landing page. This allowed us to deliver our message through different approachable angles, test those results and adjust targeting and trafficking.
